"A single session with Geoff feels like a collaboration with several skilled practitioners. He integrates muscle testing, bodywork, alignment/posture work, and movement re-patterning to make deep change possible: my cranky shoulders and neck have transformed under his care. The fact that he's also a top-notch acupuncturist blows my mind. Have I mentioned how compassionate and intuitive he is? Working with Geoff is like hitting the jackpot of healing."

Acupuncture is a safe and effective alternative medical practice that treats a wide variety of conditions based on the understanding that when the body is in balance, it is able to heal itself. Acupuncture treatments are designed to bring the entire body gently into balance and address both the main complaint as well as any underlying musculoskeletal and energetic imbalances that are preventing healing and limiting optimal health. In my practice, I integrate the traditional diagnostic and treatment tools of Chinese medicine with a host of other therapeutic tools tailored to each person and their condition.
For each patient, I develop a personalized treatment plan that involves the use of Chinese, Japanese or Five Element acupuncture with a targeted combination of adjunctive therapies like cupping, body work, integrated postural and movement re-patterning, nutritional counseling and HeartMath® resilience coaching. If you are coming because of physical pain or injury, I will assess and correct the underlying movement mechanics that led to your condition and then integrate those healthy mechanics back into your natural movements patterns.

Initial Assessment/ First treatment
The initial assessment visit includes a short treatment to introduce you to the techniques and begin the healing process. Although many patients do experience significant benefit from this first treatment, the benefits of acupuncture and related therapies are cumulative and most conditions require at least 3-6 treatments to resolve.
Initial visits will last between 1.5-2 hours. Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing and bring your completed health history form or arrive early to fill it out.
The initial assessment includes a detailed history, Chinese pulse and tongue diagnosis, and measurement of breathing patterns and heart coherence through simple biofeedback tools. For sports injuries or movement problems, assessment will also include muscle testing and palpation and movement pattern assessment in order to identify underlying dysfunction.
Each follow-up treatment will build on the previous visit as we adjust and move through your treatment plan. Depending on your condition, incorporating training in qi gong and functional movement, HeartMath Resilience techniques, functional breathing or meditation may be appropriate based on your health goals.
Follow up treatments will take about an hour. Just as in the
initial visit, please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing.
